Your safety is most important. Help is available for people in crisis and those concerned about their safety.


If you are worried about yours or someone else’s safety, please go to the nearest emergency department or call 9-1-1.

  • 1800SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) – for individuals considering suicide or for those who
    are concerned about someone who may be at risk of suicide. Call 9-8-8 across Canada.

  • 310Mental Health Support (310-6789) – for individuals seeking emotional support,
    information, and resources specific to mental health and substance use disorders.

  • 1800KUU-US17 (1-800-588-8717) – culturally sensitive crisis support for Indigenous
    people across BC.

  • 1-833-METISBC (1-833-638-4722) – culturally sensitive crisis support for Métis people
    across BC.

  • 1-800-668-6868 (Kids Help Phone) – for young people 5-25 years old.

  • 1-866-585-0445 (Wellness Together Canada) – Speak with a Homewood Health
    counsellor about anything that is on your mind.
